I've got a card for the Use What You Have Challenge #15 this week on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog. If you haven't been over there in awhile, Nicole is now posting an inspiration photo and a sketch each week that is optional, but it can help you narrow down which part of your stash to use! I saw last week that Nicole put her embossing folders to work. Which reminded me that I actually own some embossing folders, but I don't have an embossing machine to run them through so I haven't touched them yet. And then I remembered my scrappy friend Jennifer recently used her folders as stamps, so decided to give that a try!
Here are the inspiration photo and sketch:
Here's my stash, a couple of untouched embossing folders:
I went with the green, orange, yellow color scheme in the challenge inspiration photo, and then inked up the folder a few different ways. I used both the embossing and de-bossing sides of the folder and came up with this:
I liked the bottom left image the best and used it to make this card. Those are some Little Yellow Bicycle corrugated shapes, and the 'Happy' comes from one of the Holiday Sentiments at the Sweet Stamp Shop.
Thanks for taking a look, now go link up a project of your own this week! I'm sure you used something in your stash, which is really the only requirement :)
So clever, love that you used your embossing folders as stamps, I have many unused too! Such a gorgeous card!
