Mood Board Inspiration

Check out this fabulous mood board at Two Peas in a Bucket for the month of January:

I created my own kit from the colors:

And then used this sketch from Paper Bakery Sketch Challenge #18 to create a layout (I rotated the sketch):

I love how it turned out! Working with these soft colors was a lot of fun, and I usually go for brights. I've also come to realize that my favorite projects are the ones where I can combine elements from a lot of different collections and manufacturers.  This layout has a lot of My Mind's Eye on it, but also some Authentique, Studio Calico, American Crafts, Fancy Pants, and a flair button from Bluebird Chic.  I was able to add some stamping. I used Memento black ink, and first stamped off onto a scrap piece of paper, then stamped on my layout. This created a softer look which was perfect for this layout.

I stamped directly on the letters of the word "ART":
And a little stamping in the corner:

Have a great weekend, everyone!

  9. Kike the idea of creating a kit for the mood board. Funnily enough, I had been toying with the idea of doing just that with the March mood board! I was thinking a kit for all occasion or birthday card and a kit for Christmas!

Yours look sgreat and love the layout!.
